Sokograd Fortress

Sokograd fortress is a prominent medieval bastioned fortress situated in the Pliva river valley within the Šipovo municipality of the Republika Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Constructed in the 13th century, it served as a crucial defensive stronghold for the medieval Bosnian state and was the administrative center of the župa Pliva, historically also known as Pljeva.
