Visby city wall (Swedish: Visby ringmur, "Visby Ring Wall") is a prominent medieval defensive structure encircling the historic town of Visby on the island of Gotland, Sweden. Recognized as the strongest, most extensive, and best-preserved medieval city wall in Scandinavia, it is a vital component of the Visby World Heritage Site. The Visby city wall was constructed in two main phases during the 13th and 14th centuries.
