Bulverket

The Bulverket is a remarkable example of a large wooden fortification located in Lake Tingstäde on the island of Gotland, Sweden. It consisted of a vast platform supporting several houses, all enclosed within a double palisade, a defensive wooden fence made from sharpened stakes.
