Chitral Fort

Chitral Fort, also referred to as Chitral Palace, is a prominent bastioned fortress located in Chitral town within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan. The fort was originally constructed in 1774 during the reign of Mohtaram Shah Katur II, a ruler of the Katur dynasty that governed the princely state of Chitral.

Following the merger of Chitral State into Pakistan in 1969, the fort was declared the personal property of the last ruling Mehtar.
