Wakasa Oniga Castle

Wakasa Oniga Castle (若桜鬼ヶ城, Wakasa Oniga-jō) is a significant example of a Sengoku period mountain-top castle located in the present-day town of Wakasa, within Tottori Prefecture in Japan's San'in region. Built in the 12th century, this castle was strategically positioned to oversee and control the surrounding mountainous terrain, a common defensive tactic during Japan's High Medieval period.
