Lesendro

Lesendro fortress is a historic bastioned fortress situated on what was once an island in Skadar Lake, Montenegro, near the small town of Vranjina. Constructed in the 18th century during the post-Renaissance period, this fortress played a significant role in the military defense of the region. Originally, Lesendro was located on a true island, but the construction of the Belgrade–Bar railway later connected the island to the mainland, transforming it into a peninsula.
