Malakoff Tower, locally known as Malakofftoren, is a distinctive 19th-century folly located in a park west of the town of Lembeek, within the province of Flemish Brabant in Belgium. Despite its medieval appearance, the tower is a product of the Modern period, constructed in 1854 by the Belgian industrialist and landowner Paul-Alexandre Claes. It was built as a commemorative structure to honor the original 16th-century Lembeek Castle, which Claes had acquired a year earlier. The tower serves as a romanticized tribute rather than a genuine medieval fortification.
