Trzebieszowice Czerwony Dwór is a historic fortified manor located in Trzebieszowice, Poland, with origins dating back to the 14th century. The site began as a defensive residence featuring a stone tower built by the von Reichenbach family around 1347. This original tower was constructed on an artificial earth mound, a classic feature of a motte-and-bailey type defensive structure. The tower itself was rectangular, measuring approximately 10.7 by 7.6 meters, and rose three stories high. The upper two floors served residential purposes, equipped with latrine oriel windows and small window openings, while the top level was fortified with battlements and arrow slits, providing a defensive platform.

Medieval origins and architectural features

The initial tower combined both residential and military functions, reflecting the turbulent times of the early medieval period. Its design, with a defensive parapet and narrow windows, was typical of fortified towers intended to withstand minor assaults. After World War II, the manor was repurposed as a fruit and vegetable processing plant, a common fate for many historic estates in the region during the post-war period.
