The Château de Roquessels is a medieval fortress located in the village of Roquessels in southern France. Constructed in the 10th century, this castle was originally built as a defensive stronghold during the early medieval period. It served as a dependency of the convent of Cassans, which held ecclesiastical authority and collected tithes from the local baron of Margon, reflecting the intertwined nature of religious and feudal power during the Middle Ages.
