Hvězda Castle is a medieval hill castle located near the village of Hvězda within the municipality of Blíževedly in the Czech Republic. On the southwestern side of the rock formation, remains of a stone-built ground floor of a one-story building are visible. A carved foundation groove approximately 1.5 meters wide, hewn from the sandstone, indicates where this adjoining structure once stood. The northeastern section preserves traces of fortifications, including defensive walls and possibly ramparts, which would have protected the castle’s vulnerable approaches. These fortifications highlight the dual role of the site as both a residence and a guarded stronghold.
